Living a passionate life

"A life without passion is not living, its merely existing" ~ Leo Buscaglia. Passion can be defined as  a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something. For me this means an uncontrollable urge to do something, to make a change. Most people have a passion for sports meaning that they have an uncontrollable urge to do anything sports related which is why you can find a student being an active member of several teams in several disciplines. This is simply because they can not help but be on the field. Passion brings happiness because once you discover what you are passionate you start living a narrow life . I received some advice from a colleague and it changed the way i saw things, i decided to share 3 important things he touched on :

  • Don't live a limited life
Growing up we have always been told to stay in our lane and not bash into the world so much. We were told not to make too much noise and just live a normal simple life. The funny thing is that all those people who made up "life rules" were nor smarter than you are. This to me means that we can change how our life plays out
  • Have passion
In everything you do you need to have passion. There is nothing more frustrating than being in a place you don't like doing something you don't like. Find something you absolutely love doing and dedicate some time to doing that. Grow it and you will be surprised at what you will achieve.
  • Build around adding value
I have chosen to take this year to invest in myself in everything. Read more books, attend more seminars, read some more, network, learn as much as i can and work on becoming the best version of myself.
Maybe it is time for you to take action and make a change in your life. Take time to find what you are passionate about and explore your gift. Have a blessed week and Thank God its Monday
