All you need is a seed

A mustard seed is considered to be amongst one of the smallest seeds in the world. Measuring in at 1 - 2 millimeters in diameter it is quite difficult to understand how such a small seed can grow into a tree that will not only produce fruits but will be a resting place for animals and people alike. In the book of Matthew 17 vs 20, Jesus mentions the mustard seed in one of his teachings. "..Truly I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." ~ Matthew 17 vs 20.

To those that have seen a mustard seed, I am sure you can relate to how small and seemingly insignificant it is. Yet this is the seed chosen in an example by Jesus to show us how much faith we need to be able to do anything that we desire. Since faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11 vs 1), it is pretty evident as to where our faith works. Lets say you have a dream car or house that you would like to have one day.

You think about this thing almost every single day and you are very confident that one day you are going to get it. The only person who can see this dream house or car is you so to others it doesn't exist. So by having that thing in your mind constantly it is becoming more real day by day and it is the evidence of that thing's existence.

To put it in simpler terms the only way that you can bring your dreams into existence is if you see it first and only then can it come into existence. For most people, they are were they are now because of the thoughts they had and the words they said. We need to look at our minds as gardens and our thoughts as the seeds in our gardens. The tricky part is if you don't plant anything in your garden then weeds and other unwanted things will grow in it.

Our minds are effectively what we need to transform in order for us to live the lives we want. Romans 12 vs 2 speaks about how we should not be conformed to the things of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Speaking the language of the world and thinking the thoughts of the world will make you subject to the elements of the world.

As Christians we should be weary of what we let into our lives and what controls our minds. It is important to continue feeding ourselves with the word so that we always have the correct thoughts about ourselves and our environments. Have a blessed week and Thank God its Monday
