Speak what you want to see
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, those that love it shall eat of its fruit" ~ Proverbs 18 vs 21. This is a very powerful verse in my view which just reminds us of the power of our words and how they have the power to shape our lives. What we are and where we are today can be attributed to some of the things we said about ourselves growing up as kids not knowing of the long term implications of those words. So in essence if we were made in God's image and he created the whole world just by speaking, does this not also mean that we can create our own world just to our liking by using our words. I often hear a lot of people talk about how powerful words are and then right the next moment they shoot themselves in the foot by saying something negative about themselves. My question to you is what are you saying about your life ?
Daily affirmations always work well for me when I am feeling down or low and this just gives me a chance to pull back and look at my life from an outsider's point of view and see all the good that is in it because at times it is very easy to focus on the bad only and totally ignore the good. This can be compared to how when you still have that one assignment lagging behind, you start becoming blind to everything else and zone in on the negativity brought about by the incomplete task. The best solution here would be to just finish it and move on with life because there are a lot of other positives waiting for you. Always aim to look at the bigger picture though sometimes it is difficult to do that but the bigger picture is always better than the small blemish on your portrait.
I strongly believe in the power of words and how much of an impact they have in our lives, its quite strange though how one body part can drag you to hell and bring you into paradise at the same time. There is no compromise on this..."One should be careful of what the say because it will definitely come true" Have a blesses week and Thank God its Monday.
