You are what you think
A majority of people all across the globe have been in lock down for at least a month now. For most this may be depressing time filled with anxiety and uncertainty with no glimmer of hope in sight. This may have presented it as a problem but I would like to suggest a change of mindset to focus on thinking right. Ecclesiastes 10 vs 2 says "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." In times past the right has always been associated with blessings favor and all good things whilst the left has been the opposite. The heart represents our thoughts and so the thoughts of the wise incline to blessings, favor and all good things whereas thoughts of the foolish well they give the opposite. So in all things it is essential that we focus our minds on things that are positive and see problems as opportunities for growth.
I feel like it is time we change our belief system. "Attitude is a product of your belief system"~ Dr Myles Munroe. He went on to say no one can live beyond the limits of your belief system and your life will become what you think it should be. It all begins in the mind and how you perceive who you are. The sad thing is a majority of the thoughts we have about ourselves are not our own but they come from how other people see us. This becomes a problem because we no longer have self worth but we have others worth. Understand that your existence is not by chance and so you should live like you are God's gift to the world because that is exactly what you are. I remember there was a time where I was going through an identity crisis where I wasn't sure of who I was and people's opinions always brought me down. One verse changed all this...Psalms 139 vs 14 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works and that my soul knoweth right well".
Remember you are responsible for your life and only you can change it...no one can do it for you. My verse of the week would have to be Philippians 4 vs 8-9 "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Have a wonderful blessed week filled with positive thinking and Thank God its Monday
All i can say is thank you because i now know that if i am to change who i am i will have to start by changing my mind .This can only be done by constantly saying what i am until my heart is automated towards the word of truth.
