Living a narrow life

“When a man or woman has a vision their life becomes very tight” ~ Dr Myles Munroe. This is one of my favorite quotes because I feel like vision makes life very simple . I strongly believe that once you know were you are going you automatically know which roads will take you there, who will take you there and what you need to avoid as well. Vision for me defines what you need to do, it gives a clear view of your destination. It becomes easy to say no because whatever offered to you needs to align to what you see for yourself, if not then its not for you. The reason for most people not living the lives that they want to in my view is to a greater extent their lack of knowledge on who they are. Self discovery is possibly the best thing that can ever happen in your life. I think the term life begins at 40 was coined after they realized that on average people slowly get into who they really are and start becoming more of themselves around 40. This could be a result of numerous year...

The knowledge action gap

I am sure we have all been through a phase where you are stuck between knowing what to do and doing it. “ Tomorrow is a new day ” or “ I am going to start tomorrow ” or “ New day new me ” have always been my favorite statements to fire myself up for the next day which in my mind would be the day that I change the course of my life. The sad thing is that day never came because the zeal and energy I had when I made those statements seemed to fizz out as soon as I wake up the next day. This is what most people call procrastination and Mel Robinson calls it the knowledge action gap where you know what it is that you must do but you just can’t get yourself to do it. Personally, I have been going through this and I am still working on ways to become more productive. I have some habits that I have found to be helpful and have really helped me improve productivity and actually get things done. Wake up early The start of all my problems usually came when the alarm clock went off an...

Do it yourself

In life we are faced with God ordained opportunities that are perfectly disguised as problems and challenges. We need to realize that the moment we stop fighting for what we want then what we don’t want automatically takes over. One thing I have learnt is that it all comes down to the “ inner game ”. Changing the course of your life is all about changing the inner game which means a drastic change in your own mindset. This year is all about challenging one’s self and pushing yourself to the limit . Here are 3 ways I feel can greatly help in your journey :   Connect to the source                                                                 All religions share one thing in common which is the belief that we all come from one source which is a supreme being. Myself being a Christian I call my source God and to m...

The opposite side of fear

Image
We have all been through times or met people who have made us feel like we aren't worth as much as we feel we are. We have been through times where we ourselves question our own self-worth . The good news is " someone's opinion of you does not have to become your reality ", this statement has the potential to change your entire life if you believe in it. This has propelled many successful people into chasing their dreams which brings me to the number one dream killer FEAR . People don't go after what they want because they fear failure, rejection, judgement and worst of all they fear getting out of their comfort zone. This entire year is all about breaking all these barriers that are put up by fear by mastering the emotion itself. I have done some research throughout the week on how people who have made it in life have conquered their fears and marched onward to their destinies. Focus on the result Before we venture into anything new, there is always ...
